Trudy has retired from her private practices in Illinois and Kansas City. She enjoys her ministry of counseling at King Hill Baptist Church and another church in Kearney, MO. Trudy enjoys working with individuals, couples and families in a Christian therapeutic setting. She has lead parenting classes, single parent groups, step-parenting groups and workshops. She also works with men and women who are experiencing crisis either through loss, potential loss or are trying to establish a separate identity. Self esteem, depression, divorce recovery, parenting, stress management and relaxation, conflict resolution, as well as anxiety and phobia treatment are part of her work experiences. Her research interests are in the areas of identity, self-esteem and sleep deprivation in children. Trudy is a member of Psi Chi and a Lincoln Scholar. She has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being listed twice in Who's Who Among American Scholars. Trudy is the mother of two adult daughters. She enjoys reading a variety of topics. Currently she is enjoying a book about John Adams by David McCollough. Musically she prefers Classical Music, especially opera, and religious music that focuses on traditional hymns. Sewing, embroidering and digitizing are a passion that consumes her spare time. If she is not in her sewing room, look for her in her garden. Snakes that take up residence in her flower beds will keep her from working in them! You may send Trudy an email using the form to the right, or if you wish to contact her personally, call 816-739-7428. |
