Mary & Ronnie in the KHBC Food PantryThrough a generous grant from the Feinstein Foundation, your gifts to the hungry and those who are financially struggling can be DOUBLED during the months of March & April. Every dollar you donate by cash or check to the KHBC food pantry will be matched by the Foundation. Every non-perishable food item will be matched at the rate of either $1 per item or $1 per pound. We MUST have an exact record of what you give in order to receive the matching funds, so please give generously and make sure we have a record of your gift.

Remember, gifts to the food pantry are deductible at both the Federal and State level if you itemize when filing your taxes. What's more, gifts to food pantries registered in the state of Missouri, such as ours, are deductible at the rate of 50 per cent - so your generosity comes back to bless you in more ways than one!

"If you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday." - Isaiah 58.10

A Good Testimony PDF Print E-mail

Baptism

Sunday, March 14th, we will once again see adults and children follow the Lord's example by making a public testimony of their faith through baptism.

Baptism is a public profession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ - plus, it's a step of obedience, since Jesus himself commanded it. If you're made the decision to become a Christian but have never been immersed, you're welcome to do so on that day as well. Please discuss this with the pastor or one of the elders between ASAP if you'd like to participate.

"We have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." - Romans 6.4

The Hope of Glory PDF Print E-mail

These and many other ideas are explored in Pastor Keith's sermon series, "Christ: Dwelling Within You." Learn what God has in store for His people!

Why so merry? PDF Print E-mail
pictures of Santa and St. Nicholas

What makes your season bright? Chestnuts roasting on a open fire, like the song goes? Santa Claus coming to town? Some of our holiday traditions uphold real, lasting joy, and are pleasing to both God and us - while others do just the opposite. Sunday mornings in December, take a break from shopping, wrapping, cleaning and cooking to hear the Christmas story in new ways and some very, very old ways as Pastor Keith teaches about Jesus and holiday traditions. It might just make your Christmas one to remember.
