Welcome!

We want to make you feel comfortable and welcome when you visit us. Here are a few questions that you may be asking yourself about your first time here. If you have any additional questions, you can always call us at 816-238-1341.

How Do I Get There?

We’re located on the south side of St. Joe, in an easy-to-find spot, right on King Hill Avenue. Here's a map of our location.

What Should I Wear?

Pretty much whatever you want – some people wear jeans, some wear suits. The two important biblical principles here are not to draw inappropriate attention to yourself nor offend others. We want to be respectful of one another while we are accepting of different ways of expressing ourselves.

Where Do I Park?

We have a big lot on the South of our facility. You can also parallel park on King Hill Avenue to the East or on Massachusetts Street to the North. Ample handicapped slots are available, and several spots are designated for visitors.

What Do I Do When I Get Inside The Church?

We have a large facility, so we have greeters at every door on Sunday mornings to help people find their way around. On the lower level (the parking lot level) is a covered entryway that leads to the kitchen and parlor areas as well as the youth facilities. The ground floor (King Hill Avenue level) holds the sanctuary, library, offices, conference room, and nursery areas. The second floor houses children’s ministries and a few bible study classrooms. The uppermost level is where the College & Career group meets. Restrooms are on the lower level and street level.

What's Available For My Kids?

We think you’ll be pleased with what KHBC offers: loving nursery for the littlest ones, music classes for Kindergarten and pre-K children, bible teaching for older children that incorporates computers, crafts, and much more. Check out our Children’s Ministry page for more information about our children’s ministries. All of our volunteers must go through a background check before working with children.

What Should I Expect In Worship?

Our Worship services are intended to be encouraging and practical. We have a blended music style, meaning that on any given Sunday we may sing anything from "Amazing Grace" to the most current worship songs played on the radio. Pastor Keith's sermons are designed to help us understand the Word of God and apply it to our everyday lives.

What Do You Believe?
